Communicating the value of archaeology and cultural heritage to diverse audiences, trying to deliver meaningful change to individuals and communities. Sharing experience - failures and successes alike - with current and future professional colleagues. Passing on knowledge to future generations.

I have authored, co-authored and co-edited eight books, and published over 70 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. I have also produced journal special issues, reviews and other publications.

I have appeared on several UK and international TV and radio programmes, and given a wide range of public talks and lectures. I have also delivered numerous academic and professional conference and seminar presentations. I have contributed to most EAA conferences since 2002, including co-organising over 20 sessions. More information is available on request.

I have delivered several professional development (CPD) courses and provided mentoring and support for early-career colleagues over many years. For many years I have served as an external lecturer for a number of UK universities, delivering course content on archaeological practice, historical archaeology, industrial landscapes and heritage management. I have also directed a handful of training excavations, both in the UK and internationally. More information is available on request.
